It was so worth staying up for the last hour and a half to watch the last episode. It isn’t an intellectual show, it doesn’t have the same grip that Sherlock (BBC) does. BUT THE FEELS. I like how they attempt to portray real people as opposed to the uniformly quirky character that doesn’t stray from their apparent personality at all.

Also, I would become a lesbian for Natalie Dormer. That woman is freaking attractive. Also, I want every single dress she wore in Game of Thrones.

I just can’t help feeling like Chris and I don’t connect really? Like, we talk about school and have sex and sometimes we talk about other things and he tolerates it while I talk about things and stores the information in his memory. And I do think he cares about me, and I know I care about him. But it’s so much work. It’s never natural. I never stop paying attention and then notice he’s doing something that demonstrates that he cares in an involuntary way?

I don’t know. My week’s just been really tough, and Chris is really bad at making me feel better. We went to bed last night and I needed to talk but didn’t say anything because I know he hates it when we talk about emotions in bed, especially when he’s tired. I was up for another 2 hours wasting time until I got tired, and then slept extremely poorly. I cried when we got up, but hid it long enough that I got it back under control before he noticed.

It’s just really hard hearing from Yuriy that I’m beautiful when I’m half-asleep and that he wanted to travel with me and that he likes being near me and that he thought I was someone possibly worth the rest of his life, when all I really want is to hear any of that from Chris.

I think I’m starting to imitate my mother in doing that thing where she waits for something she didn’t ask for and then gets upset that you didn’t do it.

Here are the involuntary things I have seen:

He cares a lot about what I think of him. He gets actively aggravated about things that I give him shit about? Even though we do that to each other all of the time?
He cares about me enough that before we started dating again, we went on a long walk in the middle of the night and he said nice things to me
He spent an entire hour and a half getting activated charcoal for me when I got sick, even though he’s been super busy this week.
He actively avoids saying things that he thinks will trigger me, and I think a lot of his withholding is because he thinks I will break and that I will force a breakup again.

I know he has these feelings, I just need to feel loved. And I know it’s there, it’s just imperceptible because he controls his body and facial language to cut out all of the emotions, especially because he thinks I might react poorly. He’s really bad at reading me, too, I think, because sometimes he doesn’t notice when I’m on the verge of tears and sometimes he’ll ask me why I’m about to cry when I’m not sad at all.

But. I just ran out of tissues, so I think it’s officially time to begin work. I have…approximately 7 hours to write 4-5 single-spaced pages of content for my paper and polish it up before I submit it. I have lost approximately 7 hours now to crying, watching the entire new season of Community, and being tired. I wish I could take an emotionless pill so I could get to work.

Some of you may remember my post “Sweater Letters”, showing off the great stitch-work lettering of Syndey based twin designers, Maricor and Maricar.

I saw the tactile type duo’s work at the Pick Me Up Exhibition this week, and had the opportunity to get up close and look at the fantastic detail that goes into their lettering.

Look at the mix of colours combined here to achieve these great colour blends. They would make the most extravagant custom shirts!
